Bhubaneswar: A tragic accident claimed the lives of two people and left five others injured when a Tata ACE vehicle carrying a ‘Sankirtan’ group overturned near Bairi village in Jajpur district.
The vehicle was returning from an ‘Asta Prahari’ spiritual programme when the accident occurred. The deceased have been identified as Chandan Mallick and Upendra Mallick, both from Upula village in the district.
The injured have been admitted to Badachana Community Health Centre, with one person shifted to Cuttack SCB Medical College in a critical condition. Bairi police rushed to the spot, seized the vehicle and launched an investigation.
