Cuttack: The Cuttack district administration has imposed a temporary “No Drone Zone” within a five-kilometre radius of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Kharavela Regional Training Centre (KRTC) campus at Mundali in view of the force’s 57th Raising Day Parade scheduled from March 3 to March 6.
The high-profile event, to be hosted at the CISF’s Recruit Training Centre in Mundali, is expected to witness the presence of senior officials, dignitaries and invited guests. Authorities said the restrictions are aimed at ensuring tight security and the smooth conduct of the ceremonial parade.
Under the order issued by Cuttack District Magistrate Shinde Dattatraya Bhausaheb, all forms of aerial activity have been prohibited in the notified zone during the specified period. The ban covers unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, paragliders, paramotors, powered hang gliders, microlight aircraft and hot air balloons. The directive has been enforced by invoking provisions under Sections 14(1) and 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) Act, 2023, along with other relevant legal provisions.

Violators face seizure of equipment and penal measures under the Drone Rules, 2021, the Aircraft Act, 1934, and other applicable laws.
In addition to the aerial restrictions, the administration has also ordered a halt to civil works and construction-related activities within the CISF campus and along designated routes in the vicinity. Departments such as Works, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWSS), TPCODL, and civic bodies including Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) and Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) have been instructed to ensure strict adherence to the order.
All ongoing activities in the surrounding areas will remain temporarily suspended during the enforcement period.
