Bhubaneswar: The Crime Against Women & Children (CAW & CW) stall at the Odisha Police’s Nyaya Sanhita Exhibition at Unit-3, IDCO Exhibition Ground became the center of attraction on the opening day, drawing a massive turnout of students, intellectuals, and citizens keen to learn about women and children’s safety measures.

Organised to sensitise the public about the new criminal law, the exhibition showcased various initiatives of the Odisha Police, with the CAW & CW stall taking the spotlight. Visitors were educated on the legal provisions of the Nyaya Sanhita under the theme “Safe Women, Safe Childhood – The Aspiration of a Prosperous Odisha.”

A special child-friendly play zone engaged young visitors, teaching them about their security rights and POCSO rules through interactive games. The stall also highlighted successful police efforts in reuniting missing children with their families, enhancing public confidence in law enforcement.

Meanwhile, the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) stall demonstrated the digital transformation of the Odisha Police. A live demonstration showed how artificial intelligence (AI), modern databases, and digital policing tools are used to track criminals and solve complex cases efficiently. Students and intellectuals showed keen interest in understanding how technology is strengthening crime control and investigations.

The exhibition, aimed at educating the public about new laws and police modernisation, will continue until March 10. The Odisha Police have urged citizens to visit and take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about legal provisions, safety initiatives, and the department’s efforts to modernise policing across the state.
