Bhubaneswar: The second phase of the Budget Session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly continued amidst chaos, with opposition parties protesting over the gas crisis and safety of Odia people trapped in the Middle East conflict.

The proceedings were disrupted from the question hour, with opposition members, led by BJD, targeting the government over the LPG shortage and demanding action. They waved placards and shouted slogans, forcing the Speaker to adjourn the House till 11:30 am.

Yesterday’s zero hour discussion on the assault of Shergarh block chairman also sparked heated exchanges between the ruling and opposition parties, with leaders engaging in a war of words. The tension escalated with allegations and counter-allegations, creating a tumultuous atmosphere in the House.
