Youth Beaten To Death Over Liquor Sharing Dispute In Balangir

Bhubaneswar: A 25-year-old youth was allegedly beaten to death by his friends over a liquor sharing dispute at Rinbachan village under Sadar police station in Balangir district.

The deceased has been identified as Deepak Nayak.

As per reports Deepak had gone for dinner with friends on Friday night but didn’t return home. As a result, his family members searched for him. To their surprise, his body was found on a farm near the village on Saturday morning.

Locals informed the family members, who accused foul play upon seeing the condition of the body. Police took the body to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem, where doctors declared him dead.

Meanwhile, villagers claimed the group was drinking near a temple. It is suspected that Deepak was beaten to death by his friends over a liquor-sharing dispute.
