Bhadrak: A series accident between a bus, two trucks, and a pickup van claimed one life and injured six persons in Bhadrak.
As per reports, the accident occurred late at night near Asura Square on National Highway 16 in Bhadrak district.
The chain collision occurred involving multiple vehicles on the road. Initially, one truck hit another truck from behind. The impacted truck then collided with a stationary bus that was parked on the roadside. Further compounding the accident, a pickup van loaded with liquor crashed into the second truck from behind. The pickup van driver was trapped under the vehicle for hours and sustained fatal injuries, resulting in his death. Six bus passengers in the bus suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Out of the six injured, two were to rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital as they sustained severe injuries while four are being treated at Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital.
The bus named Dadhibaman was traveling from Balasore to Bhubaneswar when the mishap took place. Till the last report came in, fire services personnel are working to recover the pick-up driver’s body.
