Bhubaneswar: The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Odisha, has alerted the public regarding a fraudulent website, www.ceoodisha.com, created by an unknown person to impersonate the official CEO Odisha portal. The office clarified that the website is not authentic and is spreading misleading and incorrect information.
A preliminary examination revealed that the fake website attempts to replicate the design and content of the official portal, https://ceoodisha.nic.in, to mislead voters and stakeholders.
In an official advisory, the CEO Odisha emphasised that the only authentic website for all electoral information and services is https://ceoodisha.nic.in. Citizens, media houses, and stakeholders are advised not to rely on or interact with any other website claiming to represent the CEO Odisha office.
With the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026 of the Electoral Roll scheduled to begin shortly, officials warned that any misinformation during this period could confuse voters and disrupt the revision process.
The public has been urged to remain vigilant, verify election-related information only from official sources, and report any suspicious or misleading content to the Office of the CEO, Odisha.
