SJTA Deposits Rs 39.22 Cr In Punjab National Bank For FY 2026–27

Puri: The Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration (SJTA) on Wednesday deposited Rs 39.22 crore in Punjab National Bank (PNB) for the financial year 2026–27, securing funds from both the temple’s corpus and ongoing projects.

Of the total amount, Rs 36 crore comes from the Shree Jagannatha Temple Puri Corpus Fund and Temple Fund as a permanent deposit, while around Rs 3 crore is from the Shree Mandir Parikrama Prakalpa Project, also permanently deposited.

The deposit bid was conducted at the temple administration’s conference hall in Puri in the presence of Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deb, Puri Collector and District Magistrate Dibya Jyoti Parida, Puri Superintendent of Police Prateek Singh, and managers from various banks along with other officials. Punjab National Bank emerged as the successful bidder, offering the highest interest rate of 7.40%. The amount has been deposited for one year.

The Finance Sub-Committee of SJTA oversaw the tendering process. With this, the temple administration has completed the deposit of funds for the upcoming financial year.
