Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Anu Garg, who is also the Chairperson of the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB), conducted a comprehensive review of the Board’s activities today at its state headquarters in Bhubaneswar.
The meeting involved in-depth discussions with senior officials on the Board’s performance in enforcing environmental regulations, monitoring air and water quality, managing industrial effluents, and promoting sustainable practices across sectors.
Garg assessed progress on key initiatives amid Odisha’s rapid industrial growth and rising environmental challenges. She provided valuable strategic guidance, outlining a forward-looking roadmap to achieve excellence in pollution control implementation.
Emphasis was placed on enhanced coordination among departments, adoption of advanced monitoring technologies, stricter compliance enforcement, capacity building for staff, and innovative measures to balance economic development with ecological protection.
