Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Odisha Legislative Assembly that cybercrime cases in Odisha have increased over the past three years.
CM’s reply came in response to MLA Amar Ku Nayak’s query. The number of cybercrime cases registered in the state was 2,348 in 2023. This number increased to 2,501 in 2024, indicating a rise in cybercrime activities. The trend continued in 2025, with 2,803 cases registered, highlighting the growing concern over cyber security in the state.
Besides, CM also informed the House that the state government has set up 34 cybercrime police stations and launched awareness campaigns to tackle the issue.
