Bhubaneswar: The state has 706 police stations with 14,528 sanctioned posts, but 3,176 positions remain vacant, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Assembly today.
The government is taking steps to fill these vacancies through recruitment, promotions, and transfers, CM Majhi said in response to MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati’s query.
CM informed the House that there are currently 706 police stations in the state. While there are a total of 14,528 sanctioned posts in these stations in various categories, 3,176 posts are vacant.
