Matric Student Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: A 16-year-old girl student, who had appeared for matriculation examination, died under suspicious circumstances in Badadumbula village under Digapahandi police station.

The deceased has been identified as Archita Sethy, daughter of Tuna Sethy.

Police recovered the body from MKCG Medical College and Hospital late Monday night and registered an unnatural death case before handing over the body to the family after post-mortem.

According to reports, Archita was admitted to Digapahandi Hospital on Sunday morning in a critical condition with repeated vomiting. She was later referred to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, where she died while undergoing treatment.

The doctor informed Digapahandi police suspecting foul play. The post-mortem report will reveal the cause of death, sources revealed.
