Bhubaneswar: All preparations for the grand Kalash Shobha Yatra on the occasion of  famous Shri Ram Navami Maha Yagya in Bhadrak have reached the final stage. The grand procession is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm today from Salandi Ghat.

To ensure smooth conduct of the event and maintain law and order, the Bhadrak Police conducted a flag march across the city this morning.

A massive police force of 35 platoons, comprising around 250 officers and personnel under the leadership of Bhadrak Superintendent of Police Manoj Rout, has been deployed at sensitive points across the town. Rapid Action Force (RAF) teams and riot control vehicles are also keeping a strict vigil.

The Kalash Shobha Yatra, which is expected to witness participation of lakhs of devotees, will proceed through the main thoroughfares of Bhadrak city. After circumambulating the town, the sacred Kalash will be ceremoniously installed at the Shri Ram Navami Maha Yajna Mandap located at Gandhi Ground. The Maha Yajna will formally commence in the evening.

Thousands of devotees from various states have already arrived in Bhadrak since morning to participate in this auspicious event dedicated to Lord Ram.

The district administration and police have appealed to devotees to maintain discipline, follow traffic regulations, and cooperate with security personnel during the yatra for the peaceful and successful completion of the Maha Yajna celebrations.
