Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a nowcast yellow warning for Bhubaneswar, alerting residents to the likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over the next three hours. The nowcast warning was issued at 4.10 PM today.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, the weather activity may include wind speeds reaching 30–40 kmph, raising the risk of lightning strikes and localized disruptions.
The IMD has advised people to remain alert, keep a close watch on rapidly changing weather conditions, and be prepared to move to safer locations if necessary. Residents have also been cautioned to take adequate precautions to protect themselves from lightning.
