40 Passengers Narrowly Escape As Tree Falls On OSRTC Bus In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: As many as 40 passengers had a narrow escape after a tree fell on an OSRTC bus in Ganjam district.

The incident occurred near Vijaylakhmi Narayanpur village under Digapahandi block due to norwesters. The bus, traveling from Digapahandi to Vijay Lakshmi Narayanpur, was damaged, but miraculously no one was injured.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface winds (speed reaching 40-50 kmph) at isolated places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput for the next two days.
