Sundargarh: The body of an unidentified young man was recovered from the Ib river ghat in Jamuna village under Talsara police station limits in Sundargarh district on Friday.
According to sources, local villagers spotted the body floating in the river at around 4 PM and immediately alerted the fire services. Fire personnel from Balishankara and Subdega rushed to the spot and retrieved the body from the water.
Subsequently, police were informed and reached the scene. The body was seized and sent to the Sundargarh District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examination.
As of filing this report, the identity of the deceased remains unknown. Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
