Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange-level nowcast warning for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, forecasting light to moderate rain or thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds on Friday night.
According to the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, the weather activity is likely to occur within the next three hours from 10:15 PM. Wind speeds are expected to reach 40–50 kmph, with gusts potentially touching up to 60 kmph.
The orange warning indicates that residents should remain prepared for adverse weather conditions. Authorities have advised people to closely monitor the situation and be ready to move to safer places, particularly to avoid the risk of lightning strikes.
