Bhubaneswar: Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi visited the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Saturday morning, accompanied by his wife Sunita Dwivedi. This visit marked the second day of his three-day Odisha tour, which began on Friday with a meeting with Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati at Lok Bhavan.
After leaving the 120 Battalion camp in Bhubaneswar early in the day, General Dwivedi proceeded to Puri, stopping at the Sainik Sadan before heading to the 12th-century shrine. The Army Chief and his wife spent an hour at the temple, offering prayers to Lord Jagannath and His Siblings.
Following the temple visit, General Dwivedi is scheduled to travel to Gopalpur by special aircraft. He will review the training infrastructure at the Army Air Defence College, Gopalpur, and interact with serving military officers and ex-servicemen. The Army Chief will also participate in a live firing demonstration at the field firing range in Gopalpur.
