Sambalpur: One person was killed and four persons were injured on National Highway 55 near Phulajharan under Jujumura police limits in Sambalpur district, on Monday.
As per reports, the incident occurred when a truck collided with an auto, causing it to overturn.
The deceased has been identified as Beda Kharasel (55) from Birsinghgarh. The injured are yet to be identified. The auto-rickshaw was carrying 12 passengers from Birsinghgarh to Maneswar weekly market when the accident occurred.
Locals rescued the injured and shifted them to the Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital. Police have seized both vehicles and launched an investigation.
