Bhubaneswar: Responding to a query by MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Odisha Assembly today that 25 police stations in the state currently lack their own buildings.
Bahinipati wanted to know how many police stations functioning in other department al builduings.
Replying to Nahinipati’s query CM further revealed that of these 25 police station, 24 are functioning in other departmental buildings, while Puri district’s Sadar police station operates from a rented house.
Also, the CM informed the House that the state government has allocated Rs. 4,96,65,000 for constructing a new building for Raksajor police station in Balangir district in 2023-24. Plans are underway to construct buildings for the remaining stations in phases.
