Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued a nowcast Yellow Warning for five districts of Odisha at 4.45 PM today, cautioning about possible thunderstorms and lightning activity over the next few hours.
According to the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light rain are likely to occur at one or two places in Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Bargarh, Mayurbhanj and Nabarangpur within the next three hours.
The weather office has advised residents to remain alert and keep a close watch on changing weather conditions. People have been urged to move to safer locations in case of lightning activity to avoid potential risks.
The Yellow Warning indicates the possibility of weather conditions that could cause minor disruptions, prompting authorities and citizens to stay prepared.
