Bhubaneswar: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday and discussed three key issues related to Rourkela.
The meeting focused on the expansion of Rourkela Airport, the expansion of Rourkela Steel Plant, and the preparations for the upcoming visit of the President of India to Rourkela.
According to sources, Jual Oram reviewed the progress of land acquisition for the Rourkela Airport expansion project with the Chief Minister. Both leaders also held detailed discussions on the proposed expansion of the Rourkela Steel Plant. The leaders further discussed the arrangements and preparations for the proposed President’s visit to Rourkela scheduled on April 21.On the occasion, Jual Oram thanked Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and the state government for providing reservation to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) in higher educationcv.
The cordial meeting between the Union Minister and the Chief Minister is seen as a positive step towards expediting major development projects in the Rourkela region.
