Bhubaneswar: Odisha Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Tuesday reviewed the ongoing construction of the Left Parallel Road near Salia Sahi in Nayapalli area in Bhubaneswar and directed officials to complete the work at the earliest and open it for public use by April 30.
During his inspection, the Minister said the new road will play a major role in easing the growing traffic congestion in the state capital. Once operational, it will provide smoother and easier connectivity to important areas including CRPF Chowk, Utkal Hospital, Infosys, KIMS and KIIT.
“I have instructed the departmental officers to expedite the construction work so that the road can be thrown open to the public by April 30,” Harichandan said.
He emphasised that the completion of this road will significantly improve traffic movement and facilitate better transportation facilities in the city. Senior officials present during the review included Chief Engineer (Roads) Eng. Dhyan Chand Nayak, Chief Civil Engineer Eng. Manoj Mahanand, Superintending Engineer (Roads and Housing, Division-3) Eng. Narendra Kumar Ghadei and other departmental officers.
The Left Parallel Road is being developed as a key infrastructure project to decongest the busy Nayapalli and surrounding areas of Bhubaneswar.
