Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has appealed to the people of Odisha to donate blood voluntarily on Odia Paksha, calling it a ‘noblest way to save lives’.
Blood donation camps are being organized across the state on April 8 as part of the 14-day cultural festival Odia Paksha.
“Blood donation is life donation,” Majhi said in a message, urging citizens to join this noble cause.
Besides, he appealed to citizens to donate blood voluntarily, highlighting that it saves lives and gives meaning to humanity. He requested people to join this noble cause, especially on Odia Paksha, and help save lives lost due to blood shortage, promoting a spirit of service and cultural pride.
“Jai Jagannath. Blood donation is life donation. The experience of saving a life makes our humanity meaningful. If a healthy person donates blood, another person can receive that blood and survive. I request all brothers and sisters to join such a noble cause and carry forward the tradition of blood donation. On the occasion of celebrating Odia Paksha, let us all take a pledge to voluntarily donate blood and help save precious lives falling due to lack of blood. Vande Utkal Janani,” read CM’s message.
