Tejashwi Yadav Slams Nitish Kumar Govt Over Delay In TRE-4 Recruitment

Patna: Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Nitish Kumar government over the delay in the TRE-4 teacher recruitment process, alleging that the prolonged uncertainty has adversely affected the state’s youth.

In a statement, Tejashwi highlighted the achievements of the previous Grand Alliance government, saying that during his 17-month tenure as Deputy Chief Minister, over 2.2 lakh recruitments were made under TRE-1 and TRE-2 in a transparent and time-bound manner within deadlines, and without any incidents of paper leaks.

He also noted that the TRE-3 process had been initiated but was later disrupted after the government changed in January 2024.

Tejashwi Yadav alleged that despite promises made by the current government, the TRE-4 recruitment process has seen no concrete progress. “Nearly a year has passed since the announcement, yet even the vacancies for TRE-4 have not been released,” he said.

He pointed out that, as per the Bihar Public Service Commission calendar, the examination was originally scheduled for August 2024, but has been repeatedly delayed.

Targeting the NDA government, Tejashwi accused it of being indifferent to the concerns of youth. “The government is busy with power politics and has failed to understand the aspirations of young people,” he alleged.

He further claimed that delays were strategically timed around elections, resulting in prolonged uncertainty for aspirants.

Tejashwi Yadav expressed concern that repeated postponements are pushing candidates beyond age limits and causing frustration among job seekers. “Every youth dreams of securing employment and supporting their family. But the government is playing with their future,” he said.

He also reiterated that during his tenure, around 5 lakh jobs were provided, and recruitment processes for an additional 3.5 lakh posts were initiated.

Tejashwi urged the government to release TRE-4 vacancies without further delay. “This is not just about recruitment — it concerns the future of millions of youth and their families. The government must act immediately,” he said.
