Bihar: JD(U) Removes ‘Nitish Again’ Posters

Patna: While a series of continuous meetings is underway within the NDA camp over the shifting of power, a significant and symbolic change has been observed outside the JD(U) office.

All posters displayed outside the JD(U) headquarters in Patna have been taken down—specifically those bearing the slogan: “From ’25 to ’30—Fir Se Nitish.”

This was the slogan upon which the NDA had contested the elections, asserting that Nitish Kumar would continue to serve as Chief Minister for the next five years.

Following the removal of the posters, a palpable silence has settled outside the party office—a development being interpreted as a significant political signal.

Speculation about Nitish Kumar’s potential stepping down—who has held the reins of power in Bihar for nearly two decades—has now intensified.

Such a potential shift within a government formed just four months ago is being viewed as a major turning point in the state’s politics.

Meanwhile, a crucial meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s residence, attended by Sanjay Kumar Jha, the national working president of JD(U), Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Jama Khan, and Bijendra Yadav.

Lasting for approximately one hour, the meeting involved detailed discussions regarding the formation of a new government.

According to sources, a JD(U) legislative party meeting may also be convened on Tuesday, where the future strategy will be finalised.

Another major topic of discussion within political circles is the possibility of bringing Nishant Kumar into active politics.

It is reported that several party leaders are in favour of assigning him a role within either the government or the party organisation.

Before this, a decision to grant him party membership had already been taken.

All in all, the process of a change of power in Bihar has now reached its final stage.

From the removal of posters to a series of continuous meetings, every indication suggests that a major decision is imminent.

Now, all eyes are fixed on the next 48 hours, when it will be determined whose hands, ultimately, the reins of power in Bihar will pass into.
