Bhubaneswar: On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on April 20, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Mangal will distribute CM-Kisan Assistance to eligible farmers under the ‘Akhi Muthi Anukula’ programme.
The state-level function will be held at the Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Cuttack on the occasion of State Farmers’ Day. Deputy Chief Minister and several MLAs will be prominently present during the programme.
Kharif assistance will be provided to 41 lakh 68 thousand 582 farmers across the state. Similar ‘Akhi Muthi Anukula’ programmes will be organised simultaneously in various districts.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida will attend the main programme. Other ministers will grace the district-level functions as follows: Nityananda Gond in Nabarangpur, Shri Krushna Chandra Patra in Dhenkanal, Prithviraj Harichandan in Khordha, Mukesh Mahaling in Balasore, Shri Bibhuti Bhusan Jena in Ganjam, Krushna Chandra Mohapatra in Mayurbhanj, Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia in Keonjhar, Pradeep Bal Samanta in Bhadrak and Shri Gokulananda Mallik in Nayagarh.
The distribution of assistance on Akshaya Tritiya is expected to provide significant support to farmers ahead of the Kharif season.
