Three Workers Killed In Accident At Angul Sponge Iron Factory

Bhubaneswar: Three workers lost their lives in a tragic accident at sponge iron factory named Sri Metallics Plant under Nisha police station in Angul district on Monday evening.

The deceased workers have been identified as Mangal Majhi, Pintu Kumar and Sridhar Bagei. All of them are the residents of Sundargarh.

As per reports, the deceased workers were engaged in maintenance work inside the factory when the mishap occurred. They were critically injured and were rushed to the Hindol Hospital, where doctors declared all three dead on arrival.

It is being alleged that, the victims were rescued late in the night. To avoid any tension, they were initially admitted to Hindol Hospital under the pretext of being shifted to Cuttack. The police were not informed immediately about the incident.
