Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has suspended Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s “Jan Abhiyog Sunani” (Public Grievance Hearing) programme scheduled for May 18 and May 25 in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions across the state.
According to a statement issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department on Friday, the public grievance hearing programme, usually conducted on Mondays, will remain closed on both dates due to the intense summer heat.
The department said the decision was taken keeping in mind the prevailing heatwave situation and public convenience.
It further stated that the date for the next “Jan Abhiyog Sunani” programme will be announced later through newspapers and other mass media platforms.
The Chief Minister’s grievance hearing programme is a key public outreach initiative through which citizens directly submit complaints and grievances to the state administration.
