Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths launched simultaneous searches at seven locations connected to Malaya Kumar Nayak, Assistant Engineer (RWSS) of Kolnara Block in Rayagada on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA).
Acting on a complaint, Vigilance teams, led by five Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), six Inspectors, and other supporting staff, are conducting raids based on search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Berhampur.
The searches are being carried out at the following locations:
- A triple-storeyed residential building at Soundarya Nagar, Lochapada, Berhampur.
- His native house at Tholanda Bada Danda Sahi, Jagannathprashad, Ganjam.
- Relative’s house at Bali Pindi Sahi, Buguda, Ganjam.
- Relative’s house at Pankal Sahi, Buguda, Ganjam.
- In-laws’ house at Kamalapur, Golanandha, Berhampur.
- Rented residential house at Roit Colony, Rayagada.
- His office chamber at Kolnara Block Office, Rayagada.
Searches are currently underway, and further details are expected once the operations conclude.
