Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday felicitated Bubun Sahu of Tolangapada village under Anandapur sub-division in Keonjhar district for securing the first position in the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Examination-2024.
The felicitation ceremony was held at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, where the Chief Minister congratulated Sahu on his outstanding achievement.
Speaking on the occasion, Majhi said public service is the fundamental objective of administration and advised the young officer to prioritise people’s welfare, good governance and effective delivery of government services to the last mile. He urged Sahu to work with dedication for the upliftment of children, women and socially and educationally backward sections of society.
The Chief Minister also encouraged him to develop not only as an efficient administrator but also as a compassionate human being.
Notably, Bubun Sahu had earlier been selected in the Odisha Police Service and is currently undergoing training as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA) in Bhubaneswar. His training commenced in March 2026.
Sahu comes from an agrarian family. His father, Bhagwan Sahu, is a farmer, while his mother, Kunjalata Sahu, is a homemaker. The Chief Minister congratulated both parents for their son’s success and praised their contribution to his achievement.
