Bhubaneswar: After weeks of intense heat and humid conditions, residents of Odisha are set to get major relief as the southwest monsoon is likely to enter the state within the next three to four days.
According to meteorologists, the monsoon winds are advancing rapidly and are expected to reach Odisha very soon. There is a strong possibility that this year’s Raja festival will be celebrated with rainfall.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that the monsoon is active over the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Due to favourable weather conditions, the monsoon is progressing quickly towards northern and eastern India. As a result, it is expected to enter Odisha shortly.
With the arrival of the monsoon, rainfall activity is likely to increase across different parts of the state, accompanied by a gradual drop in day temperatures.
This news has come as a big respite for the people of Odisha who have been struggling with unbearable summer heat for a long time.
