Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband over a family dispute in Jamudiha village under Keonjhar Town Police Station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Rukmani Juang. Her husband, Baid Juang, has been arrested by the police in connection with the murder.
According to preliminary investigation, there was a long-standing dispute between the couple. On Sunday, the argument turned violent, and the husband allegedly attacked his wife with a wooden stick in a fit of rage. Rukmani suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital by family members and locals. However, doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The incident has caused widespread shock and tension in the area.
Upon receiving information, Town Police reached the spot, seized the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The accused husband was immediately arrested and is currently in police custody. Further investigation into the case is underway.
