Sundargarh: A man allegedly killed his father following a dispute near Barsuan Bus Stand under the Tensa police outpost limits in the Lahunipara police station area of Sundargarh district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Asadhu Naik, while the accused son, Ramesh Naik, has been detained by police.
According to reports, a minor dispute between the father and son escalated into a violent altercation on Tuesday morning. During the incident, the son allegedly attacked his father with a vegetable-cutting knife, resulting in his death.
On being informed, police from Lahunipara reached the spot and detained the accused. A scientific team also visited the scene for investigation.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
