Koraput: The Border Security Force (BSF) Koraput organised the Mission Healthy LiFE Family Forest Walk in the pine forest adjoining Pine Resort in Koraput, bringing together officers, personnel, veterans, and their family members in a unique initiative promoting health, environmental awareness and community bonding.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from BSF officers, jawans, spouses, children and veterans, reflecting the force’s commitment to fostering physical fitness, mental well-being and stronger family ties. The initiative was organised in line with the Government of India’s Fit India Movement and Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).
Participants enjoyed a refreshing walk through the scenic pine forest while embracing the importance of healthy living and sustainable lifestyles. The programme also encouraged participants to appreciate Koraput’s rich natural heritage and reinforced the shared responsibility of protecting the environment.
Speaking on the occasion, BSF officials said such initiatives not only enhance physical and mental well-being but also strengthen camaraderie and the sense of community within the BSF family. They emphasised that adopting healthier habits and environmentally responsible practices contributes to building a stronger and more resilient society.
The programme concluded with participants taking a collective pledge to incorporate healthy lifestyle choices and eco-friendly practices into their daily lives.
BSF Koraput said the Mission Healthy LiFE Family Forest Walk is envisioned as a regular wellness initiative aimed at inspiring healthier families, greener communities and a stronger nation.
