Bhubaneswar: A Booth Level Officer of booth number 187 in Kendrapara constituency, has set an example of dedication by completing her work despite suffering serious injuries in a lightning strike.
During a field visit for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) work, Pramila Ojha, and her daughter were struck by lightning. Both were seriously injured, and her mobile phone was completely destroyed in the incident.
After being hospitalized, Ojha returned to duty as soon as she recovered. She successfully completed 100% digitization of all enumeration forms under her charge before the deadline.
Chief Electoral Officer R.S. Gopalan praised her exceptional sacrifice and sense of responsibility. Kendrapara Deputy Collector and Electoral Registration Officer Arun Kumar Naik also appreciated her commitment on behalf of the administration.
As a gesture of support and encouragement, Ojha was honored with a new mobile phone. Officials said her dedication reflects the true spirit of public service and serves as an inspiration for other government employees.
