New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Lalji Desai has been appointed as the AICC in-charge of Odisha, replacing Ajay Lallu. Desai has served as the Chief Organiser of the All India Congress Seva Dal.
The AICC issued a notification appointing him for Odisha with immediate effect.
In similar organisational changes, Sanjay Dutta has been appointed as the in-charge of Haryana, while Rajendra Pal Gautam will look after the affairs of Uttar Pradesh.
The appointments are part of the party’s ongoing organisational reshuffle ahead of upcoming political engagements.
