Bhubaneswar: The draft electoral roll for Odisha’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 will be published on July 5, with the claims and objections process remaining open until August 4, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) R.S. Gopalan said on Wednesday.
Eligible citizens can apply for inclusion of new names using Form-6, deletion of names through Form-7, and corrections in voter details through Form-8 during the stipulated period.
The announcement came after a meeting chaired by the CEO at his office in Bhubaneswar with representatives of recognised political parties to review the progress of the revision exercise.
The meeting assessed the successful distribution and collection of enumeration forms, the status of digitisation, and preparations for the publication of the draft electoral roll.
Gopalan urged all recognised political parties to actively participate in scrutinising the draft voter list and the claims and objections process to ensure that no eligible voter is left out and that the electoral roll remains accurate, inclusive, and error-free.
The meeting was attended by Additional CEO Sushant Kumar Mishra, Deputy CEOs Dr. Lakshmiprasad Sahu and Anamika Singh, along with representatives of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), CPI(M), Indian National Congress (INC), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
