Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) on Friday contributed a dividend of Rs 1.17 crore to the Government of Odisha for the financial year 2024-25, reflecting the Corporation’s sustained financial performance and operational growth.
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Women & Child Development, Mission Shakti and Tourism, Pravati Parida, received the dividend cheque from OTDC Managing Director Deepankar Mohapatra in the presence of senior officials of the Corporation.
Appreciating OTDC’s performance, Parida said that a financially robust and professionally managed tourism corporation plays a crucial role in strengthening tourism infrastructure, enhancing visitor experiences and contributing to the State’s economic development. She also lauded the Corporation’s efforts towards improving service delivery and expanding tourism facilities across Odisha.
OTDC currently operates 14 Panthanivas hotel units, authentic Odia cuisine restaurants and a luxury tourist transport fleet catering to both domestic and international tourists. The Corporation also runs an Air Ticketing Division and an Engineering Division responsible for the planning, execution, upgradation and maintenance of tourism infrastructure across the State.
The Corporation has also prepared an ambitious three-year roadmap aimed at increasing turnover and profitability through infrastructure upgradation, improved operational efficiency, diversification of tourism-related services and enhancement of service quality across its Panthanivas network and other operational units.
