Bhubaneswar: Just days after the resignation of Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena, another young IPS officer has decided to quit government service. C A Ramdas, a 33-year-old IPS probationer from the 2025 batch, has submitted his resignation to the Odisha government.
The officer, who cleared the civil services examination last year, is originally from Maharashtra and was recently allotted the Odisha cadre.
According to sources, Ramdas is currently undergoing training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad. He is still in the first phase of training and has not yet served in Odisha.
The back-to-back resignations of two young IPS officers in quick succession have raised eyebrows in the state.
