Bhubaneswar: Fakir Mohan University has finally released the much-awaited notification for the 7th Semester B.Sc. Nursing examinations following strong protests by nursing students in Baleshwar.
The Office of the Controller of Examinations issued the schedule for the 7th Semester B.Sc. Nursing (Regular) examinations for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 admission batches.
The announcement comes after students staged a dharna outside the university campus, complaining that their four-year course had stretched beyond six years with the seventh and eighth semesters still pending.
According to the notification, theory examinations will be held on July 14 and July 15, 2026, while practical examinations are scheduled for July 17 and July 18, 2026. The theory papers include Community Health Nursing and Midwifery/Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) Nursing. All theory exams will be conducted between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm at designated centres in Balasore and Bhadrak districts.
Practical marks must be submitted by 3:00 pm on July 18.
“The Theory Examination Dtaed 14.07.2026 and 15.07.2026 will be conducted in the Administrative Building of the University at old Campus, Januganj, Remuna Golei, Balasore for Balasore District Colleges & Bhadrak (Auto) College for Bhadrak District. Omissions and clashes, if any, should be reported to the Office of the undersigned immediately. Practical marks must be deposited by 3 PM of 18.07.2026”, read the notification.
The development has brought relief to hundreds of nursing students who had been demanding immediate resolution of the prolonged delay in conducting their semester examinations.
The university authorities have asked all affiliated nursing colleges to circulate the schedule among the students concerned.
