Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President and Leader of Opposition in Odisha Legislative Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, has left for New Delhi just now on a brief political visit.
According to party sources, Patnaik departed on Tuesday morning for the national capital, where he is scheduled to meet several senior political leaders. During his stay, he is also expected to meet his close friends and associates.
The visit assumes significance as the Monsoon Session of Parliament is set to begin on July 20. Sources indicate that Naveen Patnaik may utilise this opportunity to meet BJD Members of Parliament and discuss key issues ahead of the session. He is likely to return to Bhubaneswar on July 22.
