Bhubaneswar: A man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly trespassing into a government school, threatening a Physical Education Teacher (PET), and creating a disturbance on the campus of Sukal High School under the Satyabadi police station limits in Puri district.
The accused has been identified as Anshuman Biswal, a resident of Sukal village.
According to reports, the incident took place a few days ago when the school’s PET, Suresh Swain, was performing his duties. Biswal allegedly entered the school premises and confronted the teacher over an earlier incident involving his son. During the altercation, he allegedly abused Swain, threatened to kill him, and used offensive language in the presence of other teachers and staff members.
Biswal was reportedly upset over allegations that his son had been beaten by the PET teacher. Enraged over the issue, he allegedly went to the school, threatened the teacher, and disrupted the normal functioning of the institution.
Following the incident, Swain lodged a complaint with the Satyabadi police station. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case, launched an investigation, and arrested Biswal on Tuesday.
The accused was subsequently produced before the court.
