Bhubaneswar: A man was brutally murdered over previous enmity in the state capital.
The victim, identified as Banamali Bhol of Jharana slum under Mancheswar police station, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
According to reports, the incident took place on July 15 when a group of miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons near his residence. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but died on Tuesday morning.
Police have arrested one accused, Aditya Lenka, while the main suspect, Sushil Swain, is still on the run.
A manhunt has been launched to trace and apprehend the absconding accused.
Mancheswar police have initiated a detailed investigation. A scientific team may also be involved in the probe if necessary.
