Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a nowcast yellow warning for six districts of Odisha, forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by light thunderstorms at one or two places during the next three hours.
According to the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, the districts likely to be affected are Jagatsinghpur, Kataka, Khordha, Kendrapada, Bhadrak and Jajpur. The warning also covers Kataka city and Bhubaneswar city.
The IMD has advised residents in the affected areas to keep a close watch on the weather as conditions may worsen. People have been urged to plan their activities accordingly and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during the period of the warning.
The nowcast warning, issued at 3:50 pm on Wednesday, will remain valid for the next three hours.
