Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has issued a nowcast warning for thunderstorm and lightning in 13 districts of Odisha for the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 1:45 pm, light rain with thunderstorm and lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bargarh, Balangir, Subarnapur, Nayagarh, Balasore and Kendrapara.
The Met department has advised people in the affected districts to keep a watch on weather conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
The warning comes amid active monsoon conditions across the state.
