Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for very light to light rainfall at one or two places over 10 districts of Odisha during the next three hours.
According to the bulletin issued at 07:20 am on Thursday, light rain is very likely over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, and Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city). These districts have been issued yellow alert.
People in the affected districts have been advised to keep a close watch on the weather for any worsening conditions and plan their activities accordingly to ensure safety.
This alert comes amid an already active monsoon spell that has triggered floods and school closures in several parts of the state, including Bhadrak, Jajpur, Nabarangapur, and Kalahandi.
