Khordha: In view of the prevailing flood-like situation, the Collector and District Magistrate of Khordha, has issued stringent emergency orders to ensure effective disaster management across the district.
According to an order issued today, all government officials and employees in Khordha district have been directed to remain stationed at their respective headquarters. No official will be allowed to leave headquarters without express permission from the competent authority.
Also, the Collector has cancelled all leaves availed by government employees with immediate effect. Those currently on leave or headquarters leave have been asked to report back for duty forthwith. Additionally, all kinds of leave for government officials have been cancelled for the next four days, including today.
In a separate order, the district administration has also appointed senior supervising officers for different blocks to oversee evacuation, shelter management, relief operations, and restoration works.
The officers and their assigned blocks are as follows:
Saphalya Mandita Pradhan, ADM (Revenue) — Jatni
Pratap Chandra Beura, ADM (Gen.) — Bhubaneswar
Jyoti Ranjan Sahu, CDO-cum-EO, ZP, Khordha — Balipatna
Manoranjan Sahu, Sub-Collector, Bhubaneswar — Balianta
Sankalp Swastik Sahoo, Sub-Collector, Khordha — Khordha & Tangi
Both orders have come into force with immediate effect. These measures have been taken to ensure better coordination and swift response in the wake of heavy rainfall and rising flood threat in the district.
