Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday congratulated all Indian medal winners at the Commonwealth Games 2026, calling their performances a proud moment for the nation.
The Chief Minister extended special congratulations to Unnati Sharma for winning the Bronze Medal in Women’s 63kg Judo. “Your skill and determination have brought immense pride to the nation,” he said, while wishing continued success to Team India.
In para athletics, CM Majhi hailed the historic one-two finish by Indian athletes in Men’s Para Shot Put F57. Soman Rana won Gold and Shubham Juyal secured Silver. The Chief Minister said the achievement reflects “exceptional strength, resilience and determination” and is a proud moment for Indian para sports.
The Chief Minister also congratulated the Indian boxing contingent for its stellar show. Priya Ghanghas won Gold in Women’s 60kg, Sachin Siwach in Men’s 60kg, and Ankush Panghal in Men’s 80kg.
Jadumani Singh Mandengbam bagged Silver in Men’s 55kg, Lovlina Borgohain won Silver in Women’s 75kg, and Narender Berwal secured Silver in Men’s 90+kg.”These remarkable achievements reflect the determination, discipline and sporting excellence of our athletes, making the entire nation proud,” the Chief Minister said.
He wished Team India many more glorious moments and continued success at the Games.
