Bhubaneswar: Odisha has stepped up security arrangements across Bhubaneswar, Kataka and Brahmapur ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s three-day visit to the state beginning on Monday. Multi-layered security has been put in place at all venues on the President’s itinerary, with police intensifying surveillance and route sanitisation to ensure a smooth and incident-free visit.
According to the official itinerary, President Murmu will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Monday afternoon before proceeding to Damapada in Kataka district, where she will inaugurate Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj University, a 100-acre eco-conscious campus. After the event, she will return to the state capital and stay overnight at Lok Bhavan.
On the second day of her visit, the President will travel by train from Bhubaneswar Railway Station to Brahmapur in Ganjam district. She is scheduled to offer prayers at the Maa Kandhuni Devi shrine near the Taptapani hot spring in Sanakhemundi block before returning to Bhubaneswar later in the day.
The President will conclude her visit by departing for New Delhi aboard an Indian Air Force aircraft after returning to the state capital.
